About stayNE
Nebraska’s hidden places — found, shared, celebrated.
Nebraska is not a flyover state. It is a stay-over state. Most people just do not know it yet.
stayNE exists because Nebraska is full of extraordinary places that most travel guides completely miss. A treehouse 18 feet up in two cottonwood trees. An actual castle in the plains. Badlands that look like Mars. Cabooses you can sleep in. A yurt positioned perfectly for the sandhill crane migration. Carhenge.
This platform was built by someone who lives here, loves it here, and got tired of Nebraska being underestimated. Every spot on stayNE is chosen for one reason: it made us stop and say wait — that is in Nebraska?
stayNE is community-powered. If you know a spot — a hidden cabin, a roadside wonder, a farm stay nobody has written about yet — we want to hear about it. Nebraska is too good to keep to ourselves.
WHAT WE BELIEVE

- The best recommendations come from people who actually live here
- One genuinely surprising place is worth ten conventional ones
- Every state has a version of Nebraska. Most people never slow down enough to find it.
